Hyundai have added a remote immobiliser to the Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10. The feature lets owners use Bluelink to block the vehicle from being restarted. Eligible cars sold since November 2025 will get the feature via an over-the-air (OTA) update.

The Venue already gets a conventional engine immobiliser. This prevents the vehicle from starting if the car does not recognise the key.
Hyundai's new remote immobiliser adds another layer of security. Owners can use the Bluelink app to block the vehicle from being started again.
This is particularly useful in case of key cloning. A conventional immobiliser may allow the vehicle to start if it recognises the cloned key as authorised. With the remote immobiliser active, the vehicle cannot be restarted even with an original or duplicate key.
Owners can activate the feature before leaving the vehicle parked. Once activated, the Venue will not start again until the remote immobiliser is disabled.

The feature can also be activated after a suspected theft. If the vehicle is already moving, activating the immobiliser will not switch off the engine. Instead, the system prevents the next start after the vehicle is switched off.
Bluelink also provides live location tracking. This could help owners and the police locate a stolen vehicle while it remains connected to the network. The remote immobiliser and live tracking require uninterrupted vehicle power, network connectivity and untampered wiring.
From September 2026, Hyundai are offering the feature as standard on the Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10. The Venue and Venue N Line are the first mass-market Hyundai models to get the feature, while the Ioniq 5 already offered it.

Eligible Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10 units sold since November 2025 will receive the feature through an OTA update.
Hyundai are remotely updating the software that controls functions within the vehicle itself.
Compatible Venue and Venue N Line variants can receive OTA updates for up to 19 vehicle controllers. This allows Hyundai to add or improve compatible vehicle functions without requiring a workshop visit.
Hyundai will introduce the remote immobiliser in phases across select existing Bluelink-equipped models. Meanwhile, future Hyundai models with Bluelink will also offer the feature as standard.
Hyundai have not announced which existing models will get the feature next or when those updates will roll out.
