In this June 2022 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all C-segment SUVs in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales, where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all C-segment SUVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
C-Segment SUV June 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change
- Just going by the percentage growth, Hyundai Kona Electric and Nissan Kicks are the 2 top gainers with 2,457% and 119% growth respectively, but a point to be noted is that these not high volume offerings from their manufacturers
- Leaving aside low volume cars, Hyundai Creta is the top gainer in high volume cars with 38.7% increase
- The Hyundai Creta is the only C-segment SUV with a 5-figure sales in June 2022
- Among the top losers are the Citroen C5 and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross with a decline of 58.5% and 51.6%, respectively
C-Segment SUV June 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change
- Skoda Kushaq is the top gainer with 1,098% increase since last month
- Among high-volume cars, the Scorpio was the top gainer with a 52% MoM gain in production numbers
- Citroen C5 and Jeep Compass were the top losers with about 66% decline in production numbers in June 2022
- The Kia Seltos maintains its position in the second spot after the Creta, which maintains a 5-figure monthly factory dispatch figure
