In this March 2023 Toyota car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Toyota for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Toyota cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Toyota cars.
March 2023 - Toyota Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- Urban Cruiser dispatches declined over the last few months and in November for the first time, Toyota dispatched zero units of B2-segment SUV. It was discontinued by the carmaker soon after
- Among the mass-market offerings from the carmaker, the Glanza was the top YoY gainer, with a growth of 12.65%.
- Innova dispatches grew just by 2% in March 2023 compared to March 2022, but it has become the top-selling car for Toyota after the generation update and introduction of the Hycross flavour of the Innova.
- The Carmy saw a YoY decline of 18.33% in March 2023 comparison and was the sole loser in Toyota’s stable

March 2023 - Toyota Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- Most mass-market cars from Toyota saw a growth in MoM sales comparison for March 2023. The Fortuner and Glanza witnessed a MoM sales decline of over 9% and 20%, respectively.
- The Innova reported the best growth figures among mass-market cars from Toyota, with 93% plus MoM growth
- Innova badge showed this growth after the launch of Toyota Innova Hycross, which was anticipated
- Vellfire and Hilux sold over 200 units in March, compared to just 60 and 15 units respectively in the month of February
