Recently, we shared that Maruti Suzuki silently removed the mild hybrid system and a couple of essential features from a few variants of the Brezza. In a new update, Maruti Suzuki have now removed the rear defogger feature from the Wagon-R.

Until recently, the Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R offered a rear defogger in the top-spec ZXI+ variant. However, the Wagon-R’s updated brochure doesn not feature the rear defogger in the comfort and convenience section. However, the ZXI+ variant continues to offer a rear wiper with washer function like before.

While the rear defogger is no longer available, Maruti Suzuki have added seatbelt reminders for the rear seats in the Wagon-R. Earlier, seatbelt reminders were only available for the driver and front passenger seats but with the update, the Wagon-R now gets seatbelt reminders for both front and rear passengers. While the Wagon-R offers seatbelts for all passengers, the rear centre passenger only gets a lap belt instead of a proper 3-point seatbelt.
