In this May 2023 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment hatchbacks in India. B2-Segment Hatchback May 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change

All the cars in the category reported a YoY growth in the month of May
The Maruti Baleno was the only B2-segment hatchback with 5-figure sales numbers in May YoY comparison and was the top-selling car in the category with 18,733 units dispatched in May comparison
Glanza was the top gaining car in YoY comparison with a 75% YoY gains in May 2023
Glanza was followed by Hyundai i20 with 36.54% YoY growth in May 2023
Baleno saw a YoY growth of 34% in the category
The Jazz has now been discontinued by Honda

B2-Segment Hatchback May 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change

Toyota Glanza was the top gainer in MoM comparison in May, with a growth of 42%
Glanza was followed by Altroz with a 16.36% growth in MoM May comparison analysis
In terms of MoM sales figures, the i20 was the sole loser, with a 5.84% decline in sales figures
Sales of Maruti Suzuki Baleno in May saw 16% MoM growth
