Mercedes-Benz To Launch 3 New EVs In H2 2024 | V3Cars

Mercedes-Benz India held their latest quarterly sales announcement meeting recently where the brand confirmed 9 new models for the Indian market. Of the 9 upcoming Mercedes cars, 3 of them are from Mercedes-Benz’s EQ range of electric vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz India are yet to confirm the electric vehicles that are launching in India in 2024. Currently, the brand offers the EQB and EQE SUVs and the EQS flagship electric sedan in the country. We expect Mercedes-Benz India to launch the EQS SUV in India soon in both standard and Maybach trims. The other 2 EVs for India could be the entry-level EQA SUV and the mid-range EQE sedan.

When launched the EQS SUVs will sit above the EQS sedan. Hence, it could cost anywhere between Rs. 1.70 crore to Rs. 2.70 crore for the Maybach trim. The EQA SUV is likely to cost slightly less than the EQB, which is currently priced at Rs. 77.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Finally, the EQE sedan is likely to sit below the EQE SUV, which is priced at Rs. 1.40 crore (ex-showroom).

At the meeting, Mercedes-Benz claimed that their EV sales grew by 130 percent in the last quarter and the carmaker aims to further their position in India’s EV segment with the 3 upcoming EVs. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz is planning to expand their presence in India by opening new dealerships across the country. The carmaker has already confirmed 2 new dealerships each in Mumbai and Delhi, which will be christened MAR 20X Luxury. Furthermore, they plan to enter 10 new cities by the end of 2024 as well.
