MG Motor India Crosses 1 Lakh Unit Sales Milestone | V3Cars

MG Motor India have achieved the 1 lakh unit sales milestone and also ranked first in the J.D Power Sales Satisfaction Index. To top the achievement off, the Chinese-owned British carmaker has also secured the second spot in the 4-wheeler mass-market dealer satisfaction study by the Federation of Automobile Dealer Association (FADA).

Speaking of sales, MG Motor India sold 2,008 units of their SUVs in April 2022, down by 22.9% compared to April 202. MG Motor India launched their first offering, the Hector, in June 2019. It was followed by the launch of the ZS EV and Hector Plus, which were first unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. Currently, MG Motor India offer the Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV, Astor and the Gloster in our market.

We expect MG Motor India to expand their portfolio soon with the launch of a sub-Rs. 10 lakh affordable electric vehicle. MG Motor India revealed that their upcoming electric vehicle will be heavily localised while making use of a global electric platform. It will take on the lower EV segment, which is currently dominated by the Tata Tigor EV and Nexon EV.
