Nissan Magnite Crosses 1 Lakh Unit Production Milestone In 3 Years | V3Cars

Nissan India’s Magnite B2-segment SUV has achieved the 1 lakh unit production milestone. The Magnite achieved this production milestone within 3 years of its launch. Launched in December 2020, the Magnite is currently Nissan’s only offering in India. Read on to know more about Nissan’s future plans for the Indian market.

Nissan Magnite Achieves 1 Lakh Unit Production Milestone

Ever since its launch, the Magnite has proven itself  as an affordable SUV offering in the ever-so-crowded B2-SUV segment. Within 3 years of its launch, Nissan has produced 1 lakh units of the Magnite, for both Indian and foreign markets. Nissan India export the Magnite to 15 global markets such as Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda and Brunei.

Speaking about the Magnite’s latest achievement, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “The Big, Bold, Beautiful Nissan Magnite has been a game-changer in the Indian market. Meanwhile, Nissan India recently launched a new Geza edition of the Magnite that offers more features than the mid-spec variants for a little premium. The Magnite Geza Edition offers new features like a 9.0-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, premium beige seat upholstery, app-controlled interior ambient lighting, an updated reverse parking camera, a shark fin antenna and JBL premium sound system.

Nissan India Future Launches

At a recent media event, Nissan showcased 3 products that are currently under consideration for the Indian market — the X-Trail, Juke and Qashqai. We are yet to learn the launch timeline of the showcased products and the X-Trail is likely to be the first to launch. Furthermore, Nissan and their alliance partner Renault have revealed their plans to introduce 6 new offerings in the country, which include 4 new SUVs and 2 new EVs.
