In this Q4 2022 C-segment sedans quarterly cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of C-segment sedans for the previous year. We’ll also compare the YoY and QoQ change to find out which C-segment sedans cars’ sales improved and which ones declined.

Q4 2022 - C-Segment Sedans Quarterly Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

There are only 4 cars in continuous production since December 2021 — Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Mahindra E-Verito and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
Out of the above 4 cars, only City reported a YoY decline in dispatches, of nearly 10% in YoY comparison analysis for Q4 of 2022
Although the Honda City was the top selling car in the category, it was also the top loser
The Ciaz was the top gainer with a 36.59% increase in dispatches in Q4 of 2022 compared to the Q4 of 2021
Ciaz was followed by Hyundai Verna with 13.% growth
The Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento were discontinued
The Slavia and Virtus are still recent enough to not warrant a YoY comparison

In terms of QoQ comparison, Slavia was the top gainer with 18.5% QoQ gain in the Q4 of 2022
The Slavia was followed by the Verna with a 9.21% QoQ growth in Q4 comparison analysis
The E-Verito and CIty were the top losers, with a QoQ decline of around 73% and 10%
Ciaz and Virtus showed quarterly growth rate of 8% and 6.6% in Q4 over Q3 of 2022
