In this Q4 2022 C-segment SUVs quarterly cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of C-segment SUVs for the previous year. We’ll also compare the YoY and QoQ change to find out which C-segment SUVs cars’ sales improved and which ones declined.

Q4 2022 - C-Segment SUVs Quarterly Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Among the high-volume cars from the category, the Creta was the top-selling SUV in the segment in Q4 2022. Over 35,000 units of the Creta were produced in Q4 2022 compared to 24,000+ units in Q4 2021, which is a growth of 45%.
The Nissan Kicks was the top losing car in the category with a YoY decline of 47%.
Next in line in the top list of losers is the Jeep Compass with a 46% drop.
Zero units of the S-Cross, Duster, Karoq and T-Roc were dispatched in Q4 2022, and these cars were discontinued by their respective manufacturers.
Only 28 unit of the Hyundai Kona Electric were sold in Q4 of 2021, which rose to about 321 units in the Q4 2022, which is an increase of over 1000% in YoY comparison.

Q4 2022 - C-Segment SUVs Quarterly Car Sales Figures - QoQ Change

The Jeep Compass was the biggest loser with a 21% decline in Q4 over Q3 2022.
The other notable losers were Kia Seltos with an 11% decline, Hyundai Creta with a 7% decline and Skoda Kushaq with a 4.5% decline in QoQ comparison analysis.
The Toyota Hyryder saw an 820% increase in dispatch numbers in the Q4 QoQ comparison, and became the top-performer.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was the second top gaining car in the category with 291% growth in QoQ comparison in Q4. The Grand Vitara was followed by the MG ZS EV with a 70% increase in QoQ comparison.
Other notable cars which saw a QoQ growth in Q4 are the Volkswagen Taigun with 59% growth and MG Astor with about 33% growth in Q4 over Q3 of 2022.
