The Skoda Slavia mid-sized sedan has garnered over 10,000 bookings within one month from its launch. Skoda launched the Slavia in March 2022 with 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol engine options. The Czech carmaker is yet to announce the variant and powertrain share of the total bookings received.

At the media drive of the Slavia, Skoda India’s director, Mr. Zac Hollis, revealed that while the 1.0L turbo petrol will be the bread and butter of the Slavia range, the company expects the 1.5L turbo petrol to make up at least 15% of the total orders.

The Skoda Slavia goes up against the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. Talking about competition, Honda Cars India are all set to unveil the City hybrid in the Indian market this month whereas Hyundai have started working on the next-gen Verna.
