Tata Punch EV Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating | V3Cars

The Tata Punch EV has aced the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests, achieving a perfect 5-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection. This accomplishment follows similar success for the Harrier and Safari, the first vehicles to earn 5 stars in the newly established BNCAP  safety assessments.

The Punch EV's impressive score reflects its robust construction and comprehensive safety features. It secured 31.46 points out of a possible 32 for adult occupant protection and 45.00 points out of 49 for child occupant protection. Standard safety equipment across all variants of the Punch EV include 6 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic stability control (ESC). The Punch EV further enhances safety with features like a blind spot monitor, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.

The Punch EV boasts a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the new Acti.ev platform, it paves the way for a wave of upcoming EVs from Tata, including the highly awaited Curvv and Sierra electric SUVs.
