Tata Punch, Nexon, Harrier and Safari Kaziranga Editions Reach Dealerships | V3Cars

Tata Motors will soon launch special edition versions of their SUV lineup, including the Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. Tata have teased the Kaziranga edition of their SUVs on social media. The company even revealed the Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition at the IPL 2022 auctions.

Nexon Kaziranga Editions

While Tata Motors haven’t announced a launch date yet, the Kaziranga edition SUVs were spied at a dealership recently. This hints at an imminent launch of the special edition SUVs.

The Punch Kaziranga Edition, revealed during the IPL 2022 auctions, will be auctioned to fans of the brand, proceeds of which will go towards conservation efforts at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. As of now, it is not clear whether Tata will sell the special edition of the Punch to the public.

However, the presence of other Kaziranga edition SUVs at a dealership suggests that customers will be able to buy them once Tata launch them. We expect Tata to reveal the Kaziranga edition SUVs during the upcoming IPL season, which begins on March 27.

The Kaziranga edition SUVs get a metallic bronze colour, while the roof, ORVMs and other chrome elements are finished in black. These special editions get black-finished rhino motifs on the side fender, signifying the rhinos in Kaziranga National Park. Inside, the SUVs will get similar bronze accents and dual-tone upholstery with a rhino symbol embossed on the headrest. The dashboard has a wooden finish to it.

Nexon Seat

We expect the Kaziranga edition of Tata’s SUVs to be based on the top trims of the respective models. Hence, you can expect them to be feature packed. Additionally, these cars will get an inbuilt air-purifier. The Nexon and Harrier will also get ventilated front seats. This will make the Nexon the only car in its segment to get this feature after the Kia Sonet. The Nexon special edition will also get auto-dimming IRVM, which the standard Nexon lacks. It is important to note that there will be no mechanical changes on the Kaziranga edition SUVs.

The Kaziranga edition will be the first special edition of the Tata Punch. The Nexon and Harrier already had Dark Editions, making this the second special edition of these SUVs. Meanwhile, the Safari has 3 special editions in its lineup, including Adventure Persona, Gold Edition and Dark Edition. The Kaziranga Edition will be the fourth one in the Safari range. We expect Tata Motors to charge a premium of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1.0 lakh for this edition over the top variants of their respective SUVs.
