Upcoming Cars In July 2026 – Nissan Tekton, Maruti Brezza Facelift

Here’s a look at the upcoming cars in July 2026:

1. Renault Kwid Facelift - July 3

Renault Kwid Facelift

The Renault Kwid is currently one of the oldest hatchbacks in its segment. First launched in 2015, the Kwid received a facelift in 2019. Since then, its primary rival, the Maruti Alto K10, received not only a generation update but also a substantial safety upgrade in the form of 6 airbags. Over the last 6 months, Renault only managed to sell an abysmal 400 units a month whereas Alto K10’s average sales figure in the same period is over 10,000 units.

The Renault Kwid facelift is expected to get a comprehensive cosmetic overhaul in the form of Y-shaped LED DRLs similar to those on the international-spec Dacia Duster. We also expect it to offer new bumpers, tail lights, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and 6 airbags. The 2026 Kwid is expected to retain the current 1L normal petrol engine, which produces 68PS of power and 91Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or automated manual transmission (AMT). Currently, the Kwid is priced between Rs. 4.30 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom).

2. Nissan Tekton - July 9

Nissan Tekton

The Nissan Tekton is among the most anticipated launches of the year. Based on the Renault Duster 2026, the C-segment SUV will feature Nissan's latest design language while offering petrol and strong hybrid powertrain options. The Tekton will mark Nissan's return to one of India's fastest-growing SUV segments. For more details on the Tekton, click the link below:

3. MG Starlight 560 - July 16

MG Starlight 560

MG Motor are expected to launch the Starlight SUV as the successor to the ageing Hector Plus. The new 3-row SUV is expected to offer a more premium design, upgraded technology and multiple powertrain options, including the possibility of a plug-in hybrid and full-electric options, as MG strengthens its presence in the D1-SUV segment.

The global-spec Starlight 560 measures 4745mm in length, 1850mm in width and 1755mm in height, making it considerably longer than the Hector, Mahindra XUV 7XO and the Tata Safari. However, the Mahindra and Tata SUVs are slightly wider than the Starlight 560. On the inside, it could offer features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, connected car tech, and ADAS. Other feature highlights are expected to include ventilated seats, automatic climate control and a premium audio system.

4. Maruti Brezza Facelift - July 23

Maruti Brezza Facelift

We recently learned from a reliable source that the Maruti Suzuki Brezza 2026 will start reaching dealerships sometime in July. The big news is that the Brezza will get the 1L turbo petrol engine, which is available with the higher variants of the Fronx. The Brezza can really benefit from the smaller turbo petrol engine as buyers have moved past the displacement game and started to see value in small turbo petrol engines.

Additionally, the current Brezza, despite being sub-4m, doesn’t get to enjoy the tax benefits like its rivals thanks to its larger 1.5L normal petrol engine. With the new GST structure on cars, it becomes extremely necessary for Maruti Suzuki to start offering the 1.0L turbo petrol engine, at least as an option. Maruti Suzuki could also opt for an underbody CNG tank for improved boot space in the Brezza CNG variants.

5. Skoda Kodiaq RS - First Week Of July

Skoda Kodiaq RS

Ahead of its official price announcement, Skoda have already sold all 50 units of the Kodiaq RS allocated for India. Compared to the regular Kodiaq, the RS gets a more aggressive exterior featuring redesigned sport bumpers, 20-inch alloy wheels, a larger roof-mounted spoiler, dual exhaust outlets and exclusive RS badges.

Powering the Kodiaq RS is a higher-output version of the familiar 2L turbo petrol engine. It produces 265PS and 400Nm, representing gains of 61PS and 80Nm over the standard Kodiaq. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. Skoda claim the performance SUV can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest Skoda model to go on sale in India. It also comes equipped with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus adaptive suspension. The Kodiaq RS will be brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced between Rs. 60 lakh and Rs. 65 lakh (ex-showroom).

7. Toyota Hilux - Expected

Toyota Hilux

Toyota unveiled the 9th-generation Hilux globally in 2025. The latest model features a sharper design with sleeker LED headlamps, a redesigned grille, C-shaped LED lighting signatures integrated into the tail-lamps and a butch rear bumper.

The cabin too received a comprehensive overhaul, offering a more premium experience with dual 12.3-inch displays, a new multifunction steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, powered and ventilated front seats, and several other feature upgrades.

For India, the new Hilux is expected to borrow the Fortuner’s 2.8L turbo diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The powertrain develops 204PS and 500Nm of torque. Currently, the Toyota Hilux is priced from Rs. 28.52 lakh to Rs. 36 lakh (ex-showroom), and we expect the next-generation model to command a slight premium over the outgoing pickup.
