Kia Sonet Facelift - January 2024

The Sonet facelift made its debut on December 14, 2023 and Kia commenced bookings for the B2-segment SUV on December 20. The full price list of the new Sonet facelift is expected to be revealed at its official launch event in early January and deliveries are set to begin the same month as well. The Sonet facelift marks the return of the diesel-manual powertrain option and gets new features including a camera-based ADAS and a 360-degree parking camera. 

The Kia Sonet diesel is powered by a 1.5L engine that puts out 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque. It is offered with both a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) as well as a 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic transmission.

Hyundai Creta Facelift - January 2024

The Hyundai Creta facelift was teased recently and the carmaker opened bookings for the updated C-segment SUV on January 2, 2024. The Creta facelift retains its 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options while adding a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine option from the Alcazar and Verna. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine puts out 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque and comes with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission options. Mahindra Thar 5 Door - March 2024

The much-awaited Mahindra Thar 5 Door will finally launch in 2024. However, the exact launch timeline for the Thar 5 Door is not available at the moment. Numerous spy shots of the Thar 5 Door emerged online recently, suggesting it is close to hitting the production line. The Thar 5 Door is expected to get the same engine options as the Thar 3 Door. Hence, apart from a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, the 5 Door Thar will also get the 2.2L turbo diesel engine option that puts out 130PS of power and 300Nm of torque.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus - May 2024

The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is set to replace the now-discontinued TUV300 Plus in Mahindra’s lineup. The Bolero Neo Plus was launched in September 2023, albeit as an ambulance. The passenger version of the Bolero Neo Plus is expected to go on sale in May 2024. At 4400mm, it is 405mm longer than the standard Bolero Neo. Additionally, it gets a larger 2.2-litre diesel engine over the standard Bolero Neo’s 1.5-litre diesel engine. We expect the Bolero Neo Plus prices to start from Rs. 12.0 lakh onwards.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift - Mid 2024

XUV300 Facelift

The Mahindra XUV300 facelift is currently undergoing testing and various spy shots suggest it could receive a revised front end inspired by Mahindra’s upcoming range of BE electric SUVs. We expect the Mahindra XUV300 facelift to feature the same powertrain options as the current model. The XUV300 is currently powered by 3 engine options – a 1.2L turbo petrol with multipoint fuel injection, a 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine.

The 1.5-litre turbo diesel generates 117PS of power and 300Nm of torque. It is offered with the 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT options.

Kia Carnival (KA4) - Mid 2024

Kia showcased the new Carnival MPV with the KA4 moniker at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new Carnival KA4 adopts a more boxy, SUV-ish design language compared to its predecessor’s van-like design. The boxy design should appeal to a lot more customers when the D2-segment MPV goes on sale in September 2024. For the Indian market, the new Kia Carnival is expected to be powered by the same 2.2L turbo petrol engine as the MPV’s predecessor. This engine produces 194PS of power and 441Nm of torque. We expect it to be couple with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
