2025 Kia Carens Clavis Variant-Wise Expected Price

The Carens Clavis will get 6 powertrain options. Among these, the normal petrol-manual will come in the lower 3 variants with an expected price range of Rs. 12.0 lakh to Rs. 13.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The turbo petrol-manual will come in all but the base model of the Clavis with an expected price range of Rs. 14.0 lakh to Rs. 18.0 lakh. The turbo petrol will also get the option of auto-clutch manual transmission in the top two variants. These could carry an additional price of Rs. 50,000 over the comparable turbo petrol-manual trims.

The turbo petrol-automatic will be available in HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O) and HTX Plus variants with expected ex-showroom prices of Rs. 16.50 lakh, Rs. 17.50 lakh and Rs. 20.0 lakh, respectively. The Clavis diesel-manual will come in all but the top model and we expect it to cost between Rs. 14.0 lakh and Rs. 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Finally, the diesel-automatic will only come in the HTK Plus and HTK Plus (O) with an expected ex-showroom price of Rs. 17.0 lakh and Rs. 18.0 lakh, respectively.

Kia Clavis HTE - Base Model Standard Features

The base HTE variant of the Kia Clavis will only get the normal petrol engine and a manual transmission.

Besides the normal petrol-manual powertrain, the HTE (O) variant also gets the turbo petrol-manual option.

The HTX Plus top model of the Carens Clavis regains the option of automatic transmission while retaining full manual and auto-clutch manual transmissions as well.

The Clavis top model is likely to offer good value for money because of high perceived value from ADAS features. However, if you’re not into them, then you can book the lower HTX trim. But if you value these features, then this might be worth booking.

For budget-conscious buyers, the base model is perfectly good and quite well loaded as well with most of the must-have features. With the turbo petrol manual and auto-clutch variants, the HTX is our top recommendation as it’s most likely to offer the best balance of must-have features, good-to-have features and value for money.

It’s best to buy the HTX Plus variant with the automatic transmission for a full ADAS experience.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The Kia Clavis Petrol?

Among its rivals, the Clavis offers 2 very usable engines. The Carens, Alcazar and XL6 have only one while the Aircross is not a great hauler with the underpowered 1.2L normal petrol engine. Its 1.2L turbo petrol engine has enough torque to haul a full load without much effort.

In terms of efficiency, the XL6 sits at the top while the Clavis sits pretty much at the bottom. Among non-hybrid petrol engines, the Carens has the lowest mileage of 15.34kmpl while the XL6 has the highest efficiency of 20.97kmpl.

Among turbo petrol engines too, the Clavis manual and automatic promise a mileage of 15.95kmpl and 16.66kmpl, respectively. None of its rivals with a turbo petrol engine has a lower mileage figure.

What Are The Dimensions Of The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis?

In terms of dimensions, the Carens & Clavis have the longest wheelbase. It also has the biggest boot space, with 3-rows upright as well as in 2-row mode, the Carens and the Clavis sit at the top with 216 litres nad 645 litres of cargo volume, respectively.

As for the ground clearance, Kia haven’t confirmed this information for the Carens or the Clavis. We expect them to offer at least 180mm of unladen clearance. Since the Clavis is a 7-seater and with all that load, it would still need enough clearance to go over tall Indian speedbreakers.
