Next Gen Hyundai Verna Spied Again — To Debut At 2023 Auto Expo
Hyundai Verna is the newest offering from the South Korean Carmaker that is all set to hit our shores next year. We recently spotted the 2023 Verna near Gurugram on test, wearing heavy camouflage. Hyundai are likely to take the wraps off the new Verna at the 2023 Auto Expo.

In terms of design, while the test car was wrapped under camouflage, we can take out a couple of details. Firstly, the new Verna could feature split LED headlights with LED DRLs on top. Additionally, it could get a bigger interpretation of the cascading grille. The test car can also be seen with front parking sensors and the same could make its way to the production-spec model.

Around the side, the new Verna comes with diamond-cut alloy wheels and a rising belt line. Around the C-pillar, the new Verna could also feature a knurled chrome finishing, like we see with the new Tucson. At the rear, the new Verna will get split LED tail lights and we can also expect to see a connecting LED light bar. Looking at the pictures, the new Verna may also have grown bigger over the outgoing model.
We are yet to receive any details about the 2023 Hyundai Verna’s powertrain options. However, we expect the new Verna to continue offering both petrol and diesel engine options as well as a new mild hybrid system. A few reports suggest that the new Verna will come with a 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines along with a mild-hybrid system and brake energy regeneration. This step could be an attempt to comply with upcoming CAFE-II emission norms in the country.

Currently, Hyundai do not have any mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid models on sale in the country. To comply with the upcoming CAFE-II emission norms, it’s essential for Hyundai to bring hybrid and electric models to our shores. Along with the new Verna, Hyundai could also showcase other interesting products like the Ioniq 5 electric crossover, Kona Electric facelift and the Creta facelift.
