The 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the Venue also produces the same 120PS of power as before. Even the torque output of 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm remains unchanged. It comes with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual or iMT in Hyundai speak and a 7-speed DCT dual clutch automatic transmission. The fuel efficiency figure with either transmission option stands at 18kmpl and 18.3kmpl respectively. The DCT transmission in the new Venue underwent some design and technical changes, resulting in improvdd fuel efficiency than before. Hyundai also claims that the gen-2 dual-clutch transmission also offers quicker shifts and added smoothness in operation.

Lastly, the 1.5L turbo diesel engine in the new Venue produces 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm. It continues to come with a 6-speed manual transmission and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.7kmpl. We expected Hyundai to offer an automatic transmission with the diesel engine but the Venue facelift misses out on that. On the other hand, its sibling, the Kia Sonet, comes with a diesel-automatic transmission.
