2022 Toyota Glanza Launching On March 15- Bookings Open | V3Cars

Toyota have commenced the bookings of the 2022 Glanza. You can book one for yourself from their official website. The premium hatchback will launch on March 15, 2022. It shares its platform, powertrain and features with the new Maruti Baleno. However, Toyota have done some differentiation on the front profile and the interior theme of the car.

On the front, it gets a new grille, fog lamp housing and bumper, which are all different from the new Baleno. The LED headlamp cluster, though similar to the Baleno, gets a different pattern for LED DRLs. Overall, it resembles other Toyota sedans from the front. The only difference from the side is a new design for the alloy wheels.

Inside, it gets a black and beige interior as opposed to the black and blue in the new Baleno. It also gets a gloss black finish around the touchscreen infotainment system.

The features list include a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (wireless connectivity via OTA update), Auto AC, head-up display, 360-degree camera, telematics, rear AC vents, 6 airbags, and ESP. Alexa-based ‘Hey Toyota’ voice commands will also feature in the Glanza.

The 2022 Toyota Glanza will share its engine with the Baleno. It will come with a 1.2L normal petrol engine which produces 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The engine comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT automatic transmission.

According to the latest rumours, this time, Toyota will offer the Glanza in 4 variants, namely, E, V, G and S. Hence, all these variants will be based on the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants of the new Baleno, respectively. Offering all the variants will help Toyota capture customers of a broader price range. We expect Toyota to charge a small premium over the Baleno as they usually offer a better warranty package than Maruti Suzuki.
