Citroen India recently held the global premier of the new C3 Aircross 3-row SUV. The C3 Aircross is the 3rd model based on Citroen’s C-Cubed platform. Read on to know more details about the upcoming C3 Aircross 7-seater SUV.

At the global unveil, Citroen revealed that they will launch the new C3 Aircross in the second half of 2023. While the carmaker hasn’t specified any specific month for the launch, we expect Citroen to launch the C3 Aircross in August 2023 and take advantage of the festive season buying spree. The C3 Aircross will rival other C-segment SUVs and MPVs, such as the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

The C3 Aircross offers a butch SUV design, which is otherwise largely influenced by the C3 hatchback. At the front, the C3 Aircross gets a new grille, split headlights with LED DRLs, round fog lights and a silver skid plate. Around the side, the C3 Aircross offers flared wheel arches with body cladding, door sills cladding and 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 R17 tyres. At the rear, it offers C-shaped tail lights with halogen bulbs and a silver skid plate.

Citroen are yet to reveal the powertrain specifications for the new C3 Aircross. The carmaker only revealed that the C3 Aircross will come with a turbo petrol engine at launch. Hence, it is likely to borrow the 1.2L turbo petrol engine from the C3 hatchback. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine offers 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm in the C3 hatchback. While it’s likely to only come with a 6-speed manual transmission at launch, Citroen could also offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission option later.
