    All new Nissan Leaf to launch in China on November 17

    There has been a lot of buzz around the new generation Nissan Leaf all-electric hatchback model. The all new Leaf has already gone on sale in Nissan’s home market Japan, and now the company is all braced up to commence the new-gen Leaf’s global market launch. As per the reports, the 2018 Nissan Leaf is ready to officially launch in the car market of China on 17th of November, 2017.

    There has been a lot of buzz around the new generation Nissan Leaf all-electric hatchback model. The all new Leaf has already gone on sale in Nissan’s home market Japan, and now the company is all braced up to commence the new-gen Leaf’s global market launch. As per the reports, the 2018 Nissan Leaf is ready to officially launch in the car market of China on 17th of November, 2017.

     

    The Nissan Leaf electric hatch is the world’s bestselling EV model till date, and the new 2018 model is its second generation model. Nissan has fully revamped the Leaf with a fresh new look and a whole lot of upgrades and changes. The new-gen Nissan Leaf has dropped the quirky look of its predecessor, and has come with a sporty new design language that is lot more conventional as well. The new 2018 Leaf has drawn design inspiration from the Nissan IDS Concept model. When dimensions are concerned, the new-gen EV is 4,480 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,540 mm in height. It comes with a wheelbase that measures 2,700 mm. The new model comes with a ground clearance of 150 mm.

     

    Nissan has also improved the new Leaf’s specs. The new-gen Nissan Leaf comes with a standard 40 kWh battery pack which takes around 16 hours to fully charge itself when charging with a 3 kW charger. It charges as fast as in 8 hours by utilizing a 6 kW charger. The EV also comes with quick recharged facility that offers up to 80 percent of the battery capacity in just 40 minutes. The new-gen Leaf’s electric drivetrain that draws power from this lithium-ion comprises of new EM57 electric motor which has the ability to generate a max power output of 150 PS along with a top torque of 320 Nm. The 2018 Nissan Leaf EV comes with a driving range of 400 kilometers.

     

    Apart from new design and specification upgrades, the all new Nissan Leaf electric hatchback model also comes braced with a whole lot of new features, advanced technology and semi-autonomous driving capability to make it a complete new package to suit the preference and requirements of the new-age EV users across the world. The all new Leaf’s features list includes all LED lighting system including headlights, Daytime Running Lights, fog lamps and combination tail lights; stylish 17 inch alloy wheels, 7 inch full-colour driver information display, 7 inch touchscreen integrated NissanConnect infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, premium Bose audio system with 7 speakers and much more. The high-tech suit of the new Leaf includes the multifunctional e-Pedal, the ProPILOT Assist offering autonomous driving capability and the ProPILOT Park that offers the convenience of autonomous parking.

    The first generation Nissan Leaf sells in the Chinese market named as the Venucia e30. The new generation Leaf is being manufactured at Nissan’s Oppama facility in Japan. It is yet not known whether the all new Leaf will be locally manufactured in China or it will be exported from Japan.
