French car maker Renault has showcased the Zoe E-Sport Concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. The Renault Zoe E-Sport is the hot hatchback version of the Zoe all electric mini car. The two-seater all-electric sporty hatchback model was first showcased to the world at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept offers a look at the future e-hot hatchbacks that would be a complete package of style, performance, speed and zero-emission capabilities. Thus, the Zoe E-Sport Concept flaunts a flashy blue paint job which accentuates its smooth and curvy exterior design while also boasting of all-wheel drive system for great traction. The Zoe E-Sport Concept is also a tribute to the company’s Formula E racing team and under the skin if gets equipped with technology which has been straight borrowed from the single-seater electric racing car series. Thus, this one if made into really will be the dream car for the environmentally conscious hot hatch enthusiasts.
At its heart the Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept car gets a couple of electric motors which together makes a very impressive 456 bhp of peak power and a massive top torque of 640 Nm. The electric motor duo draw their juice from a 40kWh battery pack. The concept hot hatch gets a highly tough built, as it has a carbon fibre construction and uses a steel roll cage and Kevlar panels.
The Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept model can do the standstill to 100 kph sprint in just 3.2 seconds and then takes less than 10 seconds to reach its top speed of 209 kph, which is totally insane.
The Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept is underpinned by a bespoke chassis which was created by Tork Engineering. The crazy hot hatch concept also comes with Ohlins’ 'double triangle' front as well as rear suspensions with 4-way adjustable shock absorbers. The car also comes with water and air cooling technology to cool its hot electronics and keep them in working great.
When styling is concerned, the Zoe E-Sport looks like the regular Zoe which has gone on steroids. It is the beefed up and bolder version of the e-car with bolder bumpers, enhanced aerodynamics and a large diffuser at the rear. The concept hot hatch also gets 20 inch alloy wheels.
While the exterior is quite flashy, the interior is quite minimalistic akin to a racing car. The Zoe E-Sport boasts of Recaro bucket seats with racing harnesses and a rectangular shaped steering wheel. There’s a squared off display offering crucial driving info and allows switching between driving modes. The only luxury is the Alcantara interior, while the rest is all switches.
The Renault Zoe E-Sport Concept essentially takes the sober Zoe electric city car and transforms it onto an eye-catching electric racing car with insane speed to blow the minds of the auto enthusiasts with a nose for fun drives. Renault is eyeing to launch the Zoe e-city car in India in future, while the Indian hot hatch lovers will surely be waiting for the Zoe E-Sport.
