BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition Launched At Rs 2.02 Crore | V3Cars

BMW has launched a limited edition model of its flagship SUV, the X7, in India at a price of Rs 2.02 crore (ex-showroom India). Called the Dark Shadow Edition, only 500 units of the limited-run model are available globally.

In terms of design, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition gets an exclusive a Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint job with 22-inch V-spoke Jet Black alloy wheels. It also gets a black chrome finish on elements like the front grille, air intake, ORVMs, exhaust surrounds, window frames, tailgate applique, roof rails and on the B-pillar. Similarly on the inside, while the layout remains unchanged it gets Merino Night Blue/Black dual-tone upholstery. 

The X7 Dark Shadow Edition is based on the top-spec M50d variant of the SUV. As a result, it is powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 400PS and 760Nm mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that works with BMW’s xDrive 4WD system. The X7 Dark Shadow also comes with an M Sport exhaust system which is not offered on the M50d variant. 

Other features on the Shadow Edition remain similar to the M50d variant including BMW laserlight headlamps (range up to 650m), air suspensions, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 5-zone AC, powered tailgate, ambient lighting, head-up display, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control, 464W Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree camera, 7 airbags and much more. 

For a cosmetic update and an M Sport exhaust system, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition attracts a premium of Rs 37 lakh over the M50d variant which is priced at Rs 1.65 crore (ex-showroom India). While only 500 units of the limited-run X7 are available globally, BMW has not revealed how many units are allotted to India. So, if you are planning to get the limited edition X7, Hurry up!

Other variants of the X7 are priced from Rs 95.90 lakh to Rs 1.11 crore (ex-showroom India). It takes on the likes of the Mercedes Benz GLS and the Range Rover Sport.
