Force Gurkha 5 Door Spied With Larger Touchscreen, 7-Seater Layout | V3Cars

The Force Gurkha 5 Door was spied yet again ahead of its launch in a few weeks. Force Motors recently released a teaser for the upcoming Gurkha 5 Door. While the interior of the upcoming off-roader is yet to be revealed, the latest spy shots gives us a glimpse of the Gurkha 5 Door’s larger touchscreen infotainment system.

The latest spy shots of the Gurkha 5 Door suggests minor changes to the cabin of the 5 door SUV over its 3 door sibling that is currently on sale in the country. Force Motors are likely to equip both the Gurkha 5 Door and Gurkha 3 Door with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The rest of the cabin, including the steering wheel, dashboard, air con vents, and front seats, look identical to the 3 door model sold currently.

The latest spy shots also show the 7-seater layout of the Gurkha 5 Door. The SUV was spotted with a bench seat in the 2nd row and 2 captain seats in the 3rd row. Force Motors are likely to offer the Gurkha 5 Door with a 9-seat option as well with side facing jump seats in the 3rd row.  

The Force Gurkha 5 Door will rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5 Door and the upcoming Mahindra Thar Armada, both of which only offer seating for 5 passengers.

Force Gurkha 5 Door Teaser Highlights

The latest teaser video for the Gurkha 5 Door shows glimpses of the SUV’s exterior design and features. Up front, the Gurkha 5 Door will get the same front end as the current Gurkha 3 Door. Hence, it comes with circular LED headlamps and LED DRLs, turn indicators mounted atop the front fenders, black front bumper with fog lamps, and ‘GURKHA’ lettering on the front grille.

The teaser video also shows off the Gurkha 5 Door’s snorkel and a roof rack equipped with a jerry can. The Gurkha 5 Door’s new 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels are also visible in the latest teaser. Around the back, the Gurkha 5 Door gets a ladder, clear lens tail lamps and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate.

Force Motors are yet to reveal the interior of the Gurkha 5 Door. However, we expect it to offer a similar cabin and features as the Gurkha 3 Door. Hence, expect the Gurkha 5 Door to come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dedicated charging points for all passengers, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), among other features.

In terms of powertrain, Force Motors are likely to retain the 2.6-litre diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission for both versions of the Gurkha. In the current Gurkha, the diesel engine produces 91PS of power and 250Nm of torque.

2024 Force Gurkha Expected Prices

Currently, the Gurkha 3 Door is priced at Rs. 15.10 lakh (ex-showroom). If the changes on the Gurkha 3 Door are substantial, we could expect its prices to go up by around Rs. 40,000 - Rs. 50,000. As for the Gurkha 5 Door, we expect it to cost Rs. 1.0 lakh to Rs. 1.20 lakh over the Gurkha 5 Door.
