Soon after teasing the Endeavour Sport, Ford has launched the sporty-looking SUV at Rs 35.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is now the new top-spec variant for the Endeavour, priced at a premium of Rs 65,000 over the Titanium+ 4X4 variant that retails at Rs 34.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Compared to the standard Endeavour, the Sport gets various cosmetic updates. Upfront, it features a black-out grille with a new honeycomb finish, smoked headlamps and a blacked-out front skid plate. On the sides, there are black roof rails, fender vents, ORVMs, redesigned alloys and a ‘SPORT’ decal on the rear door. Similarly, at the back the chrome element that connects the tail lamps is blacked-out with the rear skid plate and the tailgate now featuring a ‘SPORT’ badge.

On the inside, things remain unchanged. It continues to get the dual-tone black-beige interior. Like the standard version, the Endeavour Sport is also available in three colour options: Diamond White, Diffused Silver and Absolute Black.

The Endeavour Sport shares its feature list with the Titanium+ 4X4 variant. It gets features like panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, powered front seats, auto LED headlamps, parallel parking assist cruise control and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features on offer include seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, hill launch assist, hill descent control, traction control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system and terrain management system.

Since the Endeavour Sport is just a cosmetic job, it continues to get the same 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbo-diesel engine. The engine makes 170PS of maximum power and 420Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels of the SUV.

The Endeavour Sport will primarily take on the Toyota Fortuner TRD -- both sporty-looking versions of the respective SUVs. Other rivals include the Mahindra Alturas G4 and the upcoming MG Gloster.
