Czech car maker Skoda Auto has displayed the new top of the range model trim of the Kodiaq SUV at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. The new Skoda L&K model has taken the brand’s flagship model, Kodiaq’s luxury quotient to a new level. The L&K series of models are named after the company's founders - Laurin and Klement. The Kodiaq L&K variant comes with some styling element changes and a whole host of added premium equipments. Among many others it comes with a new chrome grille, 19 inch alloy wheels and a revised rear bumper, while on the inside there is premium leather upholstery and sophisticated piano-black trim. The luxury SUV offers a wide choice of petrol and diesel engines, and front-wheel drive and AWD drive system options as well.
The most important thing is that the Skoda Kodiaq L&K variant introduces a new engine range for the flagship SUV. The Kodiaq lineup now includes a 1.5 liter TSI petrol mill offering 150 hp, while the 2.0 TSI petrol engine’s power output has been increased from 180 hp to 190 hp. The new petrol powertrains come empowered with particulate filters in order to reduce particulate emissions. This feature will be available for all the versions of the Skoda Kodiaq in the future. The new 7 speed DSG transmission for petrol engine choices and the 2.0L TDI motor offering 150 hp have also made their debut along with the L&K model. Another 2.0L TDI powertrain that is capable of generating 190 hp makes the Kodia’s engine range complete. The two most powerful engines in the range get 4×4 drive system as standard, while it is available as an option for the other two engine options. The AWD variants of the Skoda Kodiaq L&K also offer the option of Adaptive Chassis Control Dynamic Chassis Control.
