Sedans January 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- The Dzire maintained its top spot among sedan sales in January 2023
- It looks like even in the foreseeable future, the Dzire will remain the only sedan to achieve a 5-figure monthly sales figure
- Among the smaller sedans, the Xcent/Aura pair witnessed a 39% YoY gain, making the pair the top gainer
- The other YoY gainers in the sedan category were Tata Tigor with a 5.22% growth and Honda Amaze with a 3.43% gains
- Amongst the losers, Toyota Camry was the top loser with a 58% YoY decline in sales numbers
- Amongst the mass market losers in the category, Honda City was the top loser with a 48% decline in sales
- Honda City was followed by Octavia, Ciaz and Verna with around 39% YoY decline in sales in January 2023 compared to January 2022
- Volkswagen Vento was discontinued over the past year

Sedan January 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- Most sedans witnessed a decline in dispatch numbers in January 2023 comparison analysis
- Amaze and Xcent/Aura pair were the only gainers in January MoM comparison, with a growth of 54% and 11.5%, respectively
- Talking about the MoM losers in January, Slavia topped the chart with 37% decline, Verna with a 35% decline was in second spot
- e-Verito reported zero dispatches for a consecutive second month
- Dzire was the top selling car in the category with over 11,000 units sold in January 2023, which was almost 12,000 units in December of 2022
