India is the global manufacturing hub for the entire Jeep Compass lineup for all the international right-hand drive markets, and as the top Trailhawk variant is offered for sale globally, it is being manufactured at FCA India’s Ranjangaon manufacturing facility. The India-made Jeep Compass gets exported to several global markets including Australia and Japan.

The export model of the Compass Trailhawk top-trim boasts of many visual changes and added features to add to the off-roading abilities of this compact Jeep SUV. The trim model features Jeep’s Active Drive Low-range all 4 wheel drive system to ensure it can handle serious off-road treading, while there is also a new 'Rock mode' in the Selec-Terrain 4WD system to offer confident rocky road handling. To make the Compass capable of really rough and rugged roads, the Trailhawk trim also comes with 20 mm higher ground clearance. It also comes with special front and rear bumpers, which ensure better approach and departure angles that stand at 30 degree approach angle, 24.4 degree breakover angle and 33.6 degrees departure angle. The Compass Trailhawk also comes with hill descent control as part of the standard equipments.
Moreover, the launch of the Compass Trailhawk variant will also mark the introduction of the highly awaited diesel automatic variant for the Compass in the Indian car market. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk model trim will be getting powered by the same 2.0 litre diesel engine that has the capability to generate 170 hp of power, but instead of the manual transmission gearbox it will get paired to a 9 speed automatic transmission.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets dual-tone black and silver shade, a black painted anti-glare bonnet decal, signature red recovery hooks, underbody skid plates, differently designed alloy wheels and all-weather floor mats to mark itself apart.
As per the dealers, the Compass Trailhawk diesel automatic variant will be around Rs. 2.5 lakhs dearer than the existing standard top-end trim Compass.
