Kia GST Price Cuts – Full Brand-Wise Summary (Tentative Prices; Sep 22) | V3Cars

The recent GST revision for cars in India (effective September 22, 2025) could lead to significant price reductions across Kia’s portfolio. Small cars now attract 18% GST (down from 28%), while larger cars are taxed at 40% (versus ~43–50% earlier, including cess).

As a result, Kia customers can now expect savings ranging from Rs. 15,000 to over Rs. 1.85 lakh, depending on the model and variant.

Important Note: Please note that these are tentative prices sourced from a fairly reliable channel but Kia may choose to adjust the pricing a bit when they come into effect on September 22, 2025. Kia may increase or decrease their margins with certain models and variants to respect certain psychological barriers such as round figures.

1. Kia Sonet

Based on the information we received, we can say that the Kia Sonet’s diesel variants could get a price drop of 10-10.5% while the petrol variants could get a 9% price reduction. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Kia Sonet may stretch as far as Rs. 1.64 lakh as with the GTX Plus DT turbo diesel-automatic variant. 2. Kia Syros

Like the Sonet, the Kia Syros’s diesel variants could get a price drop of 10-10.5% while the petrol variants could get a 9% price reduction. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Kia Sonet may stretch as far as Rs. 1.85 lakh as with the HTX Plus (O) turbo diesel-automatic variant. 3. Kia Carens & Clavis

The Kia Carens and the recently-launched Carens Clavis are expected to get a price drop of 1.15% - 3.7% across most variants. We expect the price drop for the Carens & Clavis to be as high as 78,600 for the HTX Plus 6S turbo petrol-automatic variant.

4. Kia Seltos

For the Kia Seltos SUV, we can say that the typical price drop is likely to be around 3.5-3.7% across most variants. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Kia Seltos may stretch as far as Rs. 75,300 as with the X Line turbo diesel-automatic and X Line petrol-automatic variants.
