The Kia Seltos is out on its way to the dealerships, reveal various images of the car circulating on the web. The Seltos is scheduled to launch on 22 August 2019. Its bookings are already open and Kia has reported that it has received over 6000 orders on the first day of commencement of bookings. Those interested to buy the Seltos can book one for Rs 25,000. Customer deliveries are expected to start after launch.
The Seltos compact SUV will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. There will be two petrol engines on offer -- a 1.4-litre, turbocharged engine and a 1.5-litre unit. Both the engines will be available with either a manual or an automatic transmission option. There will be a 1.5-litre diesel engine on offer, available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
While the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines of the Seltos will develop 115PS of maximum power, the 1.4-litre unit will make in excess of 140PS. A rumour claims that the Seltos will deliver over 16kmpl with either of the petrol engines and over 20kmpl with the diesel. Read more about Seltos’ claimed fuel efficiency figures here.
As far as its features are concerned, the top-spec Seltos will be equipped with goodies like connected car tech, sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlamps, head-up display, drive modes and LED fog lamps. In the compact SUV space, the Seltos will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster and Captur. It is expected to be priced in the Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh price bracket.
