The Mini Cooper SE is the first-ever, all-electric Mini and it will hit our shores this month. There are multiple design elements that help distinguish this electric supermini from its petrol counterpart. The enclosed grille upfront with subtle green elements is the biggest takeaway. Other changes include green mirror caps, corona spoke alloy wheels, and Mini electric badging on the boot lid.

On the inside, the Mini Cooper SE gets a new touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. It’s worth noting that these features have now made their way to the new Cooper and Countryman models. Other features include two-zone climate control, electric parking brake, LED headlights, drive modes, and a rotary control dial.

The Mini Cooper SE gets a 32.6kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed range of up to 270 km on a single charge. Its front-mounted electric motor produces 184PS of power and 270Nm of torque. Mini also offer wheel slip control close to the electric motor and also claim to offer a low centre of gravity for agile handling.
