The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van a highly popular vehicle in the global markets. Thus, while overhauling it, the German luxury vehicle maker has to be extra careful about the needs and requirements of the Sprinter buyers across the world. Fortunately, it seems that Mercedes-Benz Vans is a pro in taking care of these things.
The German auto major is bracing up to unveil the new generation model of the Sprinter van very soon. As the new model’s unveiling is impending, Mercedes-Benz Vans has got busy creating buzz around it to excite its buyers and to make most of hype. Thus, the company has released a teaser image of the vehicle’s interior. As per the teaser, the most noteworthy updates on the inside of the all new Mercedes Sprinter seem to be the tech upgrades. The teaser shows off a new infotainment display perched on the dash, and the new steering wheel comes mounted with a whole bunch of controls to offer the driver the convenience of controlling things at the touch of a button without moving his/her hands off the wheel.
Well, this is not the first teaser that the German auto giant released. The next generation Sprinter’s earlier teaser offered a glimpse of what the new model will look like. However, the teaser was the official sketch of the all new Sprinter van and not the actual production ready model’s image. As per the official sketch, the all new Sprinter will get a new front fascia that is in line with the styling of new Mercedes-Benz models. The headlights and the lower grille opening look particularly like the new-gen Merc models.
When new features are concerned, the next generation Sprinter will be featuring the company’s Pro Connect system that is a cloud based service and will offer digital fleet management functions. This will enable companies to be able to track the vehicle’s status, view the digital vehicle logs and also view maintenance schedules to offer seamless fleet operations.
Recently this year, Mercedes-Benz Vans had also announced that it is planning to electrify all its models in the near future, which includes the popular Sprinter. Keeping true to this announcement, the company has revealed in the same release which included the latest Sprinter teaser that it is going to offer an electric version of the Sprinter. As per the company’s promise, the new eSprinter will come sometime in 2019.
Now if, the upcoming eSprinter is going to be like the new eVito which has been already unveiled, the electric range will bind the van to only within city/town based work and short hauling logistics services. However, it is a crucial step that the company will be taking towards reducing the emissions related air pollution.
The all new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is expected to get unveiled soon in the coming months. We expect Mercedes to offer some more details in the form of teasers before the company actually goes ahead with the official unveiling of the popular van.
