Updated Tata Tigor EV Teased With New Features — Launch Soon | V3Cars
After the launch of the Tiago EV, Tata Motors are all set to launch the updated Tigor EV soon. The updated model is likely to come with new features, leatherette upholstery and increased claimed range.

Updated Tata Tigor EV — Exterior
The updated Tata Tigor EV is not likely to get any major design changes. It will continue to offer an enclosed body coloured grille up front along with the EV badge. The lower bumper will get a mesh design for air flow to the batteries. Additionally, it will continue to offer style wheel covers, blue inserts on the front and rear profiles, LED tail lights and a shark fin antenna. However, the teaser reveals a new red colour for the Tigor EV whereas currently, it is only offered in blue and grey colour options.

Updated Tata Tigor EV — Interiors
On the inside, the new Tigor EV is likely to offer updated upholstery and new features. Like the Tiago EV, the Tigor EV could also offer leatherette seat upholstery. The teaser video reveals a cream leatherette upholstery for the seats. The updated Tigor EV could offer new features like multi-level brake regenerative braking, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring system. Furthermore, it will continue to offer features like keyless entry with push-button start/stop, auto AC, electrically foldable ORVMs and rear centre armrest.
Updated Tata Tigor EV — Powertrain Details
The new Tigor EV is likely to offer the same 26kWh battery pack as the current model. However, we expect Tata Motors to offer a better claimed range thanks to some tweaking to the battery management system. Currently, the Tigor EV offers a claimed range of 306km whereas the Tiago EV, with a 2kWh smaller battery pack, offers a claimed range of 315km. As the Tigor EV gets a bigger battery pack over the Tiago EV, we expect it to offer more range over its hatchback counterpart.

Updated Tata Tigor EV — Launch Details
Tata Motors have not confirmed the launch date of the Tigor EV. Their social handle suggests the launch could take place on November 23, but we await an official confirmation from the Indian carmaker. With the update, we expect Tata Motors to revise the pricing of the Tigor EV and it could see a small price hike. Currently, the Tigor EV’s prices start from Rs. 11.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 12.99 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.
