Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB Exterior Details

The new ID Buzz LWB measures 4962mm and offers a 250mm longer wheelbase over the standard ID Buzz. The added length has also resulted in a larger boot space of up to 2469 litres with 2nd- and 3rd-row folded. Apart from that, the ID Buzz LWB remains identical to the standard wheelbase model in terms of design. It continues to offer sleek LED headlights, a large VW logo at the centre of front and rear profiles and connected LED tail lights.

Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB Interior And Features

The ID Buzz LWB offers the option of 2 seating configurations — 6- and 7-seater — and the former offers captain chairs in the second row. The electric van offers a movable centre console compartment that can be moved between the 1st and 2nd row. The new LWB model further offers new features such as a head-up display and a new infotainment system, remote parking via smartphone, smart glass panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats.

Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB Powertrain Details

The new ID Buzz LWB also packs a bigger 85kWh battery pack over the standard wheelbase model. Along with the bigger battery pack, it also offers a more powerful 286PS electric motor, which is 83PS more than the standard model. The increased power output has also resulted in a top speed of 160kmph, which is 15kmph more than the standard model. Volkswagen will also introduce the GTX model in 2024, which will offer a 4-wheel-drive powertrain with a power output of 339PS.

Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB Launch Details

Volkswagen will begin sales of the ID Buzz LWB in America in 2024. The ID Buzz LWB will also go on sale in European markets alongside the standard model around the same time. We do not expect Volkswagen to launch the ID Buzz in India anytime soon. However, the carmaker is likely to launch the ID.4 electric crossover in 2024 in the Indian market.
