    Maruti Brezza Dimensions Comparison

All sub-compact SUVs in this list are about equally long at almost 4 meters. But, the Mahindra XUV300 is quite wide, closely followed by the Tata Nexon. The Maruti Brezza is somewhere in the middle. Where the Vitara Brezza once again lags is with the wheelbase. It’s among the smallest here, while the Mahindra XUV300 is the longest at 2600. However, it does have a respectable 328-litre boot space.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS4 Diesel LDI Variant - Not Recommended

The base LDI variant of the Maruti Vitara Brezza BS4 diesel comes with a few standard safety features like 2 front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, central locking and front seatbelt pretensioners. For entertainment, there’s a basic 4-speaker 2-din music system with Bluetooth and USB. The LDI variant also gets some functional features like front power windows, tilt steering, multi-info display, manual day-night inside mirror and electrically-adjustable outside mirrors. In terms of styling, although this variant comes with body-coloured bumpers, it might still look like a basic version as it doesn’t get body-coloured door handles or outside mirrors.

This variant gets all the basic safety, entertainment and convenience features that you expect from a vehicle at this price point. So, you can buy this if you drive yourself and are on a tight budget.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS4 Diesel VDI Variant - Not Recommended

At Rs. 8.15 lakh, the VDI variant is Rs. 52,000 more expensive than the LDI. With the VDI variant, you also get the option of automatic transmission. The VDI automatic is Rs. 50,000 more expensive than the VDI variant with a manual transmission.

For the extra Rs. 50,000, the VDI variant gets you an extra glovebox, rear power windows, display for parking sensors, remote for the music system, flippy key remote for the central locking and electric tailgate release. The VDI variant’s style features include wheel covers, body-coloured door handles and outside mirrors, black roof rails and floating roof design.

For the incremental price increase over the LDI variant, the VDI trim doesn’t offer enough features to justify the upgrade. We do not recommend buying this variant as if offers poor value for money. You can look at the ZDI variant instead.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS4 Diesel ZDI Variant - Recommended Most Value For Money Variant

The ZDI variant is further Rs. 77,500 dearer than the VDI variant. At Rs. 9.42 lakh, the ZDI automatic is Rs. 50,000 more expensive than the ZDI manual transmission.

Additional safety features of the ZDI variant include front fog lamps, projector headlamps and rear washer, wiper and defogger. The list of functional features includes steering-mounted controls, automatic AC, rear parcel tray, 60/40 split rear seat, rear center armrest and a sunglass holder. The style side is loaded with dark grey roof rails, LED DRLs, black alloy wheels, silver skid plates and chrome inside door handles.

Although this variant doesn’t get a touchscreen infotainment system or a parking camera, it’s something you can also get after buying the car. You can also get the front center armrest and electrically-folding outside mirrors installed post-purchase. These are features available exclusively in the ZDI Plus variant, which is priced too high for the incremental increase in price.

The ZDI variant is, therefore, our top recommended variant of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza offering the most value for money.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS4 Diesel ZDI Plus Variant -

The top-spec ZDI Plus variant of the Maruti Brezza costs Rs. 9.89 lakh with a manual transmission and 10.38 lakh with an automatic transmission. It’s Rs. 95,500 more expensive than the ZDI variant.

For almost a lakh, you’re getting a touchscreen infotainment system wiht Apple Carplay and Android Auto and 2 additional tweeters. Extra functional features of the ZDI Plus variant include cruise control, sliding front armrest with storage, automatic wipers and headlamps, electrically-folding outside mirrors, keyless entry with push-button start-stop and cooled glovebox. Note that the cruise control is only available with the manual transmission variant but the price difference between the automatic and manual variant is still consistent with the rest of the automatic variants at Rs. 50,000. So, the automatic is definitely a no-go. The manual too doesn’t come close to justifying the price increase over the ZDI variant, which already offers a healthy list of functional features.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS4 Diesel Best Variant - ZDI Manual & ZDI Automatic

You can get most of the big-ticket features you get with the ZDI Plus variant even after the purchase. So, it doesn’t make good financial sense to get the top variant of the ZDI Plus.

Those on a budget will be better off with the LDI manual variant or VDI automatic if you want the automatic transmission.
