
After the launch in February 2022, Skoda India have announced a price hike for the Slavia. The Slavia gets a price hike of up to 60,000 for the 1.5L turbo petrol variants. With the new prices, the Slavia is currently the most-expensive compact sedan in its segment, sitting below the Honda City e:HEV hybrid.

Hyundai India have commenced bookings for the 2022 Venue facelift. Buyers can book the new Venue with a token amount of Rs. 21,000 either from Hyundai dealerships or the brand’s online booking portal. Hyundai will offer the Venue facelift with an updated design and several segment-first features.

Kia India have launched the EV6 electric crossover with two drivetrain options — EV6 RWD and EV6 AWD. The EV6 RWD (rear-wheel-drive) is priced at Rs. 59.95 lakh while the EV6 AWD (all-wheel-drive) costs Rs. 64.95 lakh ex-showroom. All 100 units from the first lot of EV6 imported into India are sold out. Kia added that they have received 355 bookings for the EV6 till date. Kia are now working towards importing more units of the EV6 to fulfil the overwhelming demand.

MG Motor announced last year that they will launch an electric SUV in India priced between Rs. 10.0 lakh to Rs. 15.0 lakh. MG aim to launch this electric SUV in India by the end of financial year 2023. So we can hope to see it on our roads before March 2023. Land Rover have expanded the Defender range with the unveil of the new Defender 130. The Defender 130 is longer than the 110 and can seat 8 people in comfort. Land Rover have removed the middle jump seat option for the front row and offers the Defender 130 with a 2+3+3 seating layout.
