
Tata Motors recently announced a price hike of up to 0.9%. However, as a gesture of goodwill, the carmaker confirmed that customers who booked a Tata car on or before January 18 will get price protection from the recent price hike.

Zac Hollis, the Managing Director of Skoda India recently confirmed to a Twitter user and potential customer that the deliveries of the Slavia sedan will start early in March 2022. Customers can see the car in Skoda showrooms and test drive it even before that, possibly in February. Bookings for this sedan are open for an amount of Rs. 11,000.

Recent reports online claim that Maruti along with Toyota plan to launch a new Creta rivalling SUV by the 2022 festive season, which is October 2022. Reports claim that Maruti and Toyota will build a new model from scratch and it will use Daihatsu’s DNGA (Daihatsu New Global Architecture) platform (Daihatsu is a budget brand of Toyota). According to the reports, Toyota will manufacture the new SUV at their plant in Karnataka. Land Rover India have launched the 5th-gen Range Rover in India. Prices start from Rs. 2.31 Crore and Land Rover will soon reveal the prices of all the variants. Land Rover offer the new Range Rover in SE, HSE, Autobiography, First Edition, and SV trim levels. Mercedes-Benz India will launch the new-generation C-Class in the Indian market in 2022. The carmaker had revealed the 2022 W206 C-Class last year. The new C-Class gets some amount of electrification with all of its powertrains, along with a range of plug-in-hybrid options. The new C-Class sedan is longer, wider, and has a 25mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor.

Citroen have updated the C5 Aircross overseas. It gets an updated front and rear profile, along with some new features. On the front, the C5 Aircross gets a new grille with knurled finishing, flanked by updated LED headlights. The LED DRLs are now split into two and blend into the grille’s design. In addition to that, both the front and rear bumpers are updated along with a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the C5 Aircross gets updated LED tail lights. With the facelift, Citroen have retained the thick body cladding and door air bumps that help avoid small dents and scratches.

Kia India have commenced the bookings for the Carens. You can book the Carens from any Kia dealership or online via Kia’s official website for Rs. 25,000. There is no cancellation fee from Kia, but in the case of bank transfer, they will charge a nominal processing fee of Rs. 15 plus taxes. For all other payment modes, the processing fee is Rs 250. We expect Kia to reveal the prices of the Carens in Feb-Mar 2022.

Toyota India have launched the Carmy facelift at Rs. 41.70 Lakh ex-showroom. Toyota Camry facelift comes with a new front grille and tweaked bumper. Other exterior changes include new18-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lights. On the inside, the Camry facelift offers a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and a wood effect pattern on the instrument panel console.

The bookings of the Toyota Hilux pick-up are now open for Rs 1 Lakh. Toyota India will announce the prices on January 20th and begin deliveries in March 2022. The Hilux will come with a 2.8L diesel engine, with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter transmissions.
