The Mahindra XUV 3XO builds upon the strengths of the XUV300 while introducing major upgrades in design, technology and feature value. It aims to offer a more premium and modern compact SUV experience while retaining Mahindra’s strong focus on performance and safety. Competing against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Maruti Brezza, the XUV 3XO stands out for its powerful turbo petrol engines, spacious cabin and strong feature package.
The XUV 3XO adopts a much sharper and more contemporary design language than the outgoing XUV300. The front fascia now looks wider and more aggressive with redesigned LED DRLs, a bold grille and cleaner bumper styling.
The SUV retains its muscular proportions and upright stance, helping it maintain a strong road presence. The alloy wheel designs look premium and the connected tail-lamp setup modernises the rear profile significantly.
Compared to the Venue or Sonet, the XUV 3XO appears more robust and SUV-like, while still looking modern enough for urban buyers.
Inside the cabin, Mahindra has significantly improved the dashboard design and overall presentation. The new infotainment display, digital instrument cluster and revised dashboard layout create a more premium environment than before.
Cabin width continues to be one of the XUV 3XO’s biggest advantages, especially for rear-seat passengers. Shoulder room and seating comfort feel better than many rivals in the segment.
Material quality has improved noticeably, while the seats offer good support for long journeys. The panoramic sunroof and feature additions further enhance the cabin’s premium feel.
Practicality is good with multiple storage spaces and family-friendly cabin usability.
Performance remains one of the strongest aspects of the XUV 3XO. The turbo petrol engines deliver strong acceleration and feel more energetic than several competitors in the segment.
Mid-range performance is particularly impressive during overtaking and highway driving. The diesel engine also offers excellent drivability and strong torque delivery for long-distance users.
Ride quality feels stable and planted, especially at highway speeds. The suspension setup handles rough roads confidently without feeling overly stiff.
Steering feedback is predictable and the SUV inspires confidence at higher speeds. NVH levels are decent, though some engine noise is noticeable under hard acceleration.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO successfully combines strong performance, spacious interiors and premium features into a highly competitive compact SUV package.
While some rivals may offer smoother refinement or better fuel efficiency, the XUV 3XO delivers a more powerful and SUV-like driving experience than most competitors.
For buyers looking for a feature-loaded compact SUV with strong turbo performance and excellent road presence, the XUV 3XO stands out as one of the best options in the segment.
