BMW India have launched the 2023 X5 facelift at a starting price of Rs. 93.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a choice of inline-6 turbo petrol and turbo diesel engine options. Read on to know more about the BMW X5 facelift.

At the front, the X5 facelift comes with a new illuminated kidney grille and tweaked matrix LED headlights. The LED headlights are now slimmer and boast a new arrow-shaped LED DRL pattern. The front bumper also gets a few revisions in the form of reprofiled air dams. Around the side, the X5 facelift gets a different design for the 21-inch alloy wheels along with slim black side cladding. At the rear, it offers slimmer LED tail lights with a new LED pattern as well.

On the inside, the X5 facelift comes with BMW’s latest twin connected screen layout running BMW’s latest OS. The curved panel incorporates a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment controls. The dashboard layout gets a revision and the climate control now resides within the iDrive system rather than as physical knobs. Wood trim is now standard on the X5 and all variants now get a crystal gear selector.

In terms of features, the X5 facelift continues to offer a large panoramic sunroof, powered driver and co-driver seats with ventilation, ambient lighting, gesture control, split-opening powered tailgate, adaptive air suspension and advanced driver assistance systems.

The India-spec X5 facelift comes with 2 engine options — 3.0L turbo petrol and 3.0L turbo diesel.
The 3.0L turbo petrol puts out 381PS of power and 540Nm of torque between 1850rpm and 5000rpm. Meanwhile, the X5 turbo diesel puts out 286PS and 650Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. BMW offers both engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both powertrains also come with a 48V hybrid system that further adds 12PS and 200Nm boost, as and when required.

BMW offer the new X5 facelift in 2 variants — xLine and M Sport. The M Sport variant packs the M Sport body kit and a host of additional of features and costs Rs. 1.07 crore (ex-showroom). The BMW X5 facelift continues to rival other premium SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, Lexus RX and Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
