High Performance Skoda Enyaq iV Electric SUV Revealed | V3Cars

Skoda recently revealed the 2023 Enyaq RS iV, which is the high-performance version of the standard SUV. The Enyaq RS iV comes with 2 electric motors, making 300PS of power.

The Enyaq RS marks the 1,00,000th production milestone of the Enyaq iV. On the design front, the Enyaq RS iV gets sportier front and rear bumpers, gloss black grille, LED headlights, RS badging and 21-inch RS-spec alloy wheels. The body is lower than the standard model, aiding in vehicle aerodynamics.

On the inside, the Enyaq RS iV gets a 13-inch touchscreen with gesture control and virtual assistant. Furthermore, it also offers a 5.3-inch driver’s display that offers vehicle information and navigation feed. Other features include a head-up display, sporty RS-spec seats and a Canton audio system.

In terms of powertrain, the Enyaq RS iV gets an 82kWh battery pack to power the 2 electric motors — one for each axle. The combined power and torque output stand at 300PS and 460Nm, respectively. It can do the 0-100kmph sprint in 6.5 seconds whereas the top speed is limited to 180kmph, which is 20kmph more over the standard model. Furthermore, the Enyaq RS iV offers a WLTP-certified range of over 500km on a single charge and is capable of juicing up its batteries from 10-80% in just 36 minutes with the DC fast charger.

The Skoda Enyaq RS iV shares its powertrain and underpinnings with the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. It is worth noting that Skoda and Volkswagen are considering to bring the Enyaq iV and ID.4 electric SUVs to the Indian market and the testing for both models in progress. The upcoming models will go up against the existing electric SUVs like the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, BMW i4 electric sedan and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5.
