In this April 2022 Hyundai cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Hyundai for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Hyundai cars sales are improving and which ones are declining.
April 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- For Hyundai, the Creta is a consistent performer with an approximately 12,500 units sales figure in April 2022 as well as April 2021
- The Grand i10 and Venue are also contributing greatly but both of these cars lost some ground and suffered a 21% and 25.4% drop YoY in April 2022
- However, the top losers in Hyundai’s product line are Verna and Tucson, which recorded a YoY decline of 69.4% and 55.2%, respectively
- Among top gainers are the Kona and Xcent-Aura combo, which grew 317% and 20.5%, respectively
- YoY change for the Alcazar is not available as it was not on sale in April 2021

April 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- The Kona stands out even more when looking at MoM change with a 2400% improvement
- If we ignore the Kona’s figures, then the Creta is the top performer posting 20.1% MoM improvement
- The Tucson and Verna are also top losers in MoM registering a decline of 57% and 50.8%, respectively
- The impact of new City, Slavia and the upcoming Virtus is evident in Verna’s sales figures, which once ruled the C-segment
- The Ciaz also recorded big drop in MoM and YoY sales figures
