India’s top selling luxury car company Mercedes-Benz has recently launched the new updated 2018 C-Class saloon in the domestic car market of the country. The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been tagged at a starting price of Rs. 40 lakhs (ex-showroom, across India).
The most noteworthy change in the new 2018 Mercedes C-Class range is its new powerful BS VI compliant diesel motor. The highly popular Mercedes-Benz C-Class executive saloon, which is currently in its 5th generation model, has now come with a BS-VI diesel engine for the first time.
The new C-Class’ C 220 d and the C 300 d AMG Line variants will be packing in a new powerful 4-cylinder OM 654 diesel motor that is BS VI compliant stated the company.
Stressing on the extensive level of update of the saloon, the German luxury auto giant stated that the new refreshed C-Class has come endowed with around 6,500 parts changed parts in over its predecessor. This means that the company has changed over half of the total number of components in the C-Class sedan.
The new refreshed 2018 Mercedes C-Class lineup offers three variants, namely - the C 220 d Progressive, the C 220 d Prime, and the top of the range C 300 d AMG Line.
While the C 220 d variants have been already available for sale across all the authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships in India right after the new C-Class’ launch, the top-end and the most powerful C 300 d variant will be available for sale in India only in 2019.
The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class now comes with even better luxury quotient. The executive sedan has also been endowed with advanced design dynamics, new-age multimedia system and added new safety equipments to make the already superb C-Class even more enticing.
The new C-Class boasts of considerably updated interiors that flaunt a new 10.25 inch display screen with new-gen telematics and NGT 5.5 smartphone integration to offer improved connectivity support and enhanced visual appeal. The top of the range AMG Line variant’s cabin will certainly offer added luxury and will come with Saddle Brown and Black seat upholstery choices.
Mercedes-Benz India is also offering a new service package for the new C-Class range, which starts at Rs. 72,700 and will be available for 2 years.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is one of the most selling luxury car models in the current car market of India. The German luxury auto major has managed to sell more than 30,500 units of the saloon in this country, making it the one of the volume grabbers in the company’s Indian lineup. The company is confident that the introduction of the new C-Class range will boost its popularity even further in India.
The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift range in the Indian car market starts from the C 220 d Prime that has been priced at Rs. 40 lakhs; the higher C 220 d Progressive variant has been tagged at Rs. 44.25 lakhs, and the top of the range C 300 d AMG Line will be coming priced at Rs. 48.50 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, pan India).
