The new Mitsubishi Outlander has been a highly awaited model, and now it is finally in India. The Japanese automaker has taken almost 6 years to launch a new model in India, but it finally made a big move by recently launching the much awaited new Outlander. For the uninitiated, the refreshed new Mitsubishi Outlander SUV was launched in the global car markets back in 2015, while the Indian car market gets it finally now. Well, better late than never, as we are happy to get the new Outlander finally in our market.

The new updated Mitsubishi Outlander SUV has been launched in India tagged at Rs. 31.54 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new Outlander is available for sale in the Indian market in just a single variant, which is the fully loaded top model.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander has come with more contemporary and aggressive looks. Its design updates make the vehicle look more premium than before. The premium SUV now comes braced with the modern popular features such as all LED lighting system – LED headlamps along with LED Daytime Running Lamps, LED front fog lamps and rear LED combination lights. The new model also looks bolder and sharper owing to its overhauled front fascia that flaunts new revised angular styling elements along with sleeker headlights to add to the mean appeal.
When dimensions are concerned, the new Mitsubishi Outlander measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,710 mm in height. The SUV rides on a wheelbase that measures 2,670 mm along with a ground clearance of 190 mm. It comes in both 5-seater and 7-seater versions in the international markets, but the one on sale in India has a 7-seat configuration.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander also comes with an array of new features some of which include an electric sunroof, electric parking brake along with auto hold and dual-zone automatic climate control among others. The other important features of the fully loaded Outlander include a 6.1 inch two DIN headup unit and Rockford Fosgate acoustic design premium audio system that comes with 4 speakers and a 710W 8-channel amplifier. The premium SUV also boasts of a whole host of safety equipments to make it a complete package, Safety features include 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ASC and HSA as part of its standard package.
At its heart, the new Outlander gets a 2.4 litre MIVEC petrol mill which is capable of generating a max power output of 165 bhp along with a top torque figure of 222 Nm. The petrol engine gets paired with a 6 speed CVT gearbox along with a Multi Select All 4-Whell Drive system. According to Mitsubishi, the new Outlander can reach the speed of 100 kmph from a standstill position in 11.1 seconds.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander comes as CBU or fully imported model in India, which explains its price tag. It takes on the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan and Isuzu MU-X in India.
