Toyota have launched their first pre-owned car showroom under the brand TUCO in India in Bengaluru. TUCO, or Toyota Used Car Outlet, will be a chain of pre-owned Toyota car dealerships. Toyota have started their pilot operations in Bengaluru and aim to expand it in the country.
According to Toyota, they are the first auto manufacturer in India to offer fully OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) refurbished used cars to customers. TUCO will only buy and sell Toyota models. Toyota say that all the used cars at TUCO will go through a 203-point inspection.
Toyota say that TUCO will be a one-stop solution for all the services related to used cars, including finance, insurance and accessories. TUCO will also offer customers special finance offers from Toyota Finance Services India Limited (TFSIL) and personalised RTO Assistance for a smooth and quick documentation process.

The TUCO showroom will also be digitally integrated. Customers can evaluate their used Toyota car online by visiting the U Trust website and clicking on the ‘Valuate your car’ option.

Speaking on the inauguration of the new showroom, Mr. Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “India's used car market continues to grow rapidly every year and TUCO represents our commitment to developing a fair and transparent used car market with increased reliability for our customers and to the Indian society as a whole. Our focus will be to offer our customers with the best quality refurbished cars with convenience, transparency, and value for money. We are committed towards creating a reliable and transparent used car market which will enable faster disposal of cars at right prices and right quality to the buyers.”
