VW Introduce Virtus GT Edge Edition In Matte Grey Colour | V3Cars

Back in June 2023, Volkswagen introduced the Virtus GT Edge Limited Collection with new colour options and powertrain configurations. The carmaker has now introduced a new matte grey colour for the sedan, enhancing its appeal even further. Read on to know more about the Virtus GT Edge Limited Collection.

Volkswagen Virtus GT Now Up For Grabs In Matte Grey

The matte grey exterior colour was earlier only available with the limited edition of the Taigun while the black exterior colour was common between the Virtus and Taigun. Volkswagen have now added the matte grey colour to the Virtus’ list of paint options and are now accepting pre-bookings for it. Volkswagen are likely to announce the new Virtus GT matte grey prices soon.

Like the black pearl colour option, the matte grey colour will also be available with the GT Plus manual and GT Plus DCT variants. The matte grey colour option is likely to carry an extra price premium over the black pearl. Currently, the black pearl colour option retails at Rs. 17.09 lakh and 18.76 lakh for the GT Plus manual and GT Plus DCT, respectively.

Speaking of the exterior highlights of the matte grey edition, it offers an exclusive matte grey colour, red highlights on the front bumper and doors, red brake callipers, gloss black ORVMs and black roof. On the inside, it offers an all-black dashboard with a satin grey finish along with red ambient lighting.

On the powertrain front, the Virtus GT comes with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 150PS of power at 6000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3500rpm. It comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine also offers active cylinder deactivation that shuts off 2 of the 4 cylinders when cruising at a constant speed to aid fuel efficiency.
