In this Kia Carens vs Mahindra Marazzo comparison, we’ll look at the variant-wise prices, engine specs, dimensions to help you decide which car you should buy.

Let’s first look at the prices of both the cars for the petrol-manual powertrain.
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Kia Carens’ prices start at Rs. 10.45 lakh and top out at Rs. 17.55 lakh. The Marazzo is not available with any petrol engine options.
The Carens petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 15.75 to Rs. 18.45 lakh. The Mahindra Marazzo is not available with any petrol engine options.
The 6 diesel-manual variants of the Kia Carens start at Rs. 12.65 lakh and go up to Rs. 18 lakh. The 6 diesel-manual variants of the Mahindra Marazzo start at Rs. 14.12 lakh and go up to Rs. 16.48 lakh(ex-showroom).

The 2 diesel-automatic variants of the Kia Carens start at Rs. 18.90 lakh and go up to Rs. 18.95 lakh. The Mahindra Marazzo is not available with a diesel-automatic powertrain.

The Carens is 4540mm long, 1800mm wide and 1708mm tall. The Carens’ wheelbase is 2780mm long. The Marazzo measures 4585mm long, 1866mm wide and 1774mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2760mm. In terms of dimensions, the Kia Carens is considerably smaller than the Mahindra Marazzo. So, the Marazzo will offer a stronger road presence than the Carens.
The Carens has a ground clearance of 190mm while the Marazzo has a ground clearance of 200mm. The 216-litre boot space of the Carens is 26 litres larger than that of the Marazzo.
The Kia Carens is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.5L normal petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine.The 1.5L normal petrol gets a 6-speed manual while the 1.5L turbo petrol is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
The 1.5L normal petrol engine of the Carens makes 115PS of power at 6300rpm and 144Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine in the Kia Carens pushes out 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1500 and 3500rpm.
The Mahindra Marazzo is not available with any petrol engine options.

The Kia Carens only gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Carens’s turbo diesel engine makes 115PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm.
The Mahindra Marazzo is only available with a 1.5L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 123PS of power at 3500rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2500rpm.
