
Land Rover has listed the 2021 Discovery facelift on its India website suggesting its imminent launch. The website revealed the updated SUV’s engine details, updated design and added features.

Honda has taken wraps off the 11th-gen Civic sedan and compared to its predecessor, the new Civic is not only bigger but is better equipped as well. It also features a new design that looks more elegant and conventional.

While Kia launched the third-gen Carnival in India in February 2020, the carmaker debuted the fourth-gen model globally in July 2020. Now, it seems like Kia is planning to launch the fourth-gen Carnival in India as well. Talking at a recent media roundtable, Kia India Executive Director and Chief Sales and Business Strategy Officer, Tae-Jin Park, reportedly said, “We are seriously considering what is the right time to bring the new-generation Carnival to the Indian market.”

Volvo’s first-ever EV, the XC40 Recharge, has received the highest Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) rating from American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It is the first all-electric small SUV in the world to achieve this feat. For the uninitiated, the IIHS awards TSP+ status to vehicles that provide the highest level of road safety.

Isuzu is all set to launch the 2021 D-Max V-Cross in India. While we don’t know when the updated truck will go on sale in India, its brochure has leaked revealing the variant wise feature list of the updated V-Cross.

Kia has confirmed that it will launch the updated versions of the Seltos and Sonet in India next month. Kia has confirmed that it will enter a new segment in early 2022. The carmaker has not announced the segment to which the new car will belong, however, the official presentation suggests that the upcoming car could be an SUV.

Hyundai has increased the prices of the i20 hatchback by up to Rs 13,000. It now starts from Rs 6.85 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Hyundai has increased prices of the petrol variants only while the prices of the diesel variants remain unchanged. The carmaker has not revealed the reason for the price hike yet.

Hyundai unveiled the Alcazar SUV earlier this month and the SUV was expected to go on sale in the last week of April 2021. However, the carmaker has now delayed the launch and the SUV is now expected to go on sale in May 2021. The launch is said to be delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

Recently a Kia Sonet with spotted bearing the new Kia logo. While earlier it was assumed that the carmaker is only introducing a new logo on the SUV, reports have confirmed that the 2021 Sonet will also get some additional features.

Skoda has already confirmed that the Rapid successor will go on sale in India by the end of this year. And while the launch is still months away, the sedan has been spotted testing. Although the test mule was heavily camouflaged, it gave us a fair idea of how the upcoming sedan will look.

Skoda has silently updated the Rapid Monte Carlo and Onyx variants with some minor cosmetic updates. Prices, however, remain unchanged as the Rapid continues to retail from Rs 7.79 lakh to Rs 13.29 lakh (ex-showroom India).

A few weeks back, Skoda confirmed that the fourth-gen Octavia will go on sale in India by the end of this month. However, the carmaker has now delayed the lunch of the sedan due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the country. Zac Hollis, Director - ŠKODA AUTO India, announced on Twitter through a video. It is the not first time Octavia’s launch has been delayed. The sedan was originally scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2020. That said, Skoda had already begun the production of the fourth-gen Octavia at its Aurangabad facility and the sedan has already started reaching dealerships.

Maserati has unveiled the Levante Hybrid. It is the second hybrid model from the Italian supercar maker after the Ghibli Hybrid which went on sale in India in February 2021.

It has been a few weeks since we reported that the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross have started reaching the dealerships. Now, the pickup’s Hi-Lander version has started reaching the dealerships. Isuzu will offer the D-Max pickup in two versions: D-Max Hi-Lander and D-Max V-Cross, the latter being the more premium one. Both the versions will be offered in multiple variants.

Toyota has been selling rebadged Maruti cars in India for a while now. Its current lineup of Maruti cars include Glanza (Maruti Baleno) and the Urban Cruiser (Maruti Vitara Brezza). Now, the carmaker is gearing up to add another Maruti car to its portfolio. Toyota plans to launch the rebadged version of the Ciaz sedan which is expected to replace the Yaris in its Indian portfolio.

Kia unveiled the new brand logo back in January 2021. While earlier it was expected that Kia will introduce the new logo in India with the updated Seltos initially, a Sonet with the new Kia logo was spotted at a dealership recently. Save for the new logo, there are no visual changes on the exterior of the spotted car. Kia is expected to introduce the new logo on its cars on 27 April 2021.

Mercedes Benz has taken wraps off the EQB SUV. It is the third all-electric SUV in the German carmaker’s lineup after the EQC and the EQA. As the name suggests, the EQB is essentially an all-electric version of the GLB SUV which is already on sale globally.

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota got into a JV back in 2017 aimed at co-developing and launching mass-market cars in India including EVs. Toyota Glanza was the first product from the JV which went on sale in 2019 followed by the launch of the Toyota Urban Cruiser in 2020. While the Glanza was a rebadged version of the Baleno, the Urban Cruiser was the rebadged Vitara Brezza. Now, Toyota is all set to add more Maruti cars to its portfolio including the Maruti Ciaz and the Ertiga MPV.

Earlier this year, Jeep confirmed that it is working on a 7-seater SUV for India. Codenamed the H6, the carmaker confirmed that the SUV will go on sale in 2022. While the SUV has already been teased ahead of its debut in the Brazilian market, it was spied testing recently.

The 5-Door Suzuki Jimny is easily one of the most anticipated cars in the Indian carmaker. While Maruti has been tight-lipped about its development, a recent leak has revealed details of the upcoming SUV.

Tata is said to be gearing up to launch the HBX SUV by the end of this year. While the launch is still a few months away, the SUV has been spied testing yet again revealing its interior. So, let’s take a look.

Kia is gearing to launch an updated version of the Seltos on 27 April 2021. While earlier it was expected that it will be a mild feature and cosmetic update, the latest report suggests that Kia will also introduce an option of iMT (clutchless manual transmission) on petrol variants of the Kia Seltos.

In March 2021, Tata Motors saw growth of almost 70 per cent in sales (YoY) and became the third-largest carmaker in India. Now, the carmaker is looking further to strengthen its position as Tata has confirmed it will also launch CNG-powered versions of some of its models. The demand for factory fitted CNG vehicles is seeing an upward trend in India and the introduction of CNG vehicles will help Tata Motors further boost its sales. Currently, Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai are the only carmakers in India to offer factory-fitted CNG cars in India.
