Tata Motors took the wraps off of the 2024 Curvv petrol and diesel on August 7, alongside the launch of the 2024 Curvv EV. At the event, Tata revealed the petrol and diesel engine specifications and the variant-wise powertrain options for the Curvv ICE. Take a look.
2024 Tata Curvv Variant-Wise Powertrain Options
When launched, the new Tata Curvv 2024 will be available in 6 different powertrains.
Tata Motors also revealed the variant-wise powertrain options of the Curvv petrol and diesel.
The 2024 Curvv equipped with the 1.2L turbo petrol engine with multi-point fuel injection (MPFI) and 6-speed manual transmission is available from the base Smart variant up to the Accomplished S (Sunroof) variant. The 1.2L turbo petrol MPFI with the DCT transmission is not available in the base Smart and top Accomplished Plus A (ADAS) variant.
The brand-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine with direct injection (MPFI) and 6-speed manual transmission is available from the Creative S (Sunroof) variant all the way to the top Accomplished Plus A (ADAS) variant. The same engine with the DCT transmission is only available in the top 3 variants – Creative Plus S, Accomplished S, and the Accomplished Plus A.
The 1.5L diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission is available across all variants of the Curvv 2024, while the diesel-DCT powertrain is not available in the base Smart and mid Creative variants.

Now let’s take a look at the power, torque and mileage figures of the Curvv petrol and diesel
2024 Tata Curvv Powertrain Specs
The Tata Curvv’s 1.2L turbo petrol MPFI petrol engine, which is borrowed from the Nexon, produces 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque. The brand-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine with direct injection produces 5PS more power and 55Nm more torque than the older MPFI engine. The Curvv diesel puts out 115PS of power and 260Nm of torque, which is identical to the Nexon 2024.
Tata Motors have revealed a claimed mileage figure of 22.4kmpl for the Curvv diesel. However, it is not clear if the claimed mileage figure is for the Currv diesel-manual or the diesel-automatic. We expect Tata to reveal the mileage figures of all Curvv powertrain options in the coming days.
