Tata Motors are gearing up for a double dose of excitement as they prepare to launch the 2025 Tata Curvv Dark Edition in mid-March, coinciding with the start of IPL 2025. Adding to the buzz, Tata Motors have announced Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal as the new brand ambassador for the brand’s passenger vehicles.

The Tata Curvv, in its striking Dark Edition avatar, is the official car of IPL 2025, with the Player of the Tournament set to receive this stylish coupe-SUV as a prize. Leaked documents and spy images have confirmed that the Curvv Dark Edition will be based on the top-spec Accomplished trim, offering both diesel and turbo petrol engine options.

True to Tata’s Dark Edition tradition, the Curvv Dark Edition will feature a blacked-out grille, darkened headlamps, and likely blacked-out alloy wheels, creating an aggressive and stealthy aesthetic. The interior will also embrace an all-black theme, with dark upholstery, dashboard, and trim elements.
Based on the top-spec Accomplished trim, the Curvv Dark Edition will come loaded with features, including:
The Tata Curvv has also secured a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.

The Curvv Dark Edition is expected to be offered with the more powerful version of Tata’s 1.2L turbo petrol engine and the 1.5L diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
The Tata Curvv Dark Edition is expected to command a premium of around ₹40,000 over the standard Accomplished trim. This translates to an estimated price range of ₹16.5 lakh to ₹19.5 lakh for the petrol variants and ₹16.8 lakh to ₹19.6 lakh for the diesel variants (ex-showroom).
Deliveries are expected to commence shortly after the official launch, which is anticipated to take place during the IPL 2025 matches, starting on 22 March, 2025.
The Tata Curvv Dark Edition will compete with models such as the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, Kia Seltos X-Line and Honda Elevate Signature Black Edition. It also competes against the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. Its EV version will rival the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra XUV400, and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.
Adding to the excitement, Tata Motors have announced Vicky Kaushal as their new brand ambassador for their passenger vehicles. This strategic move aims to further enhance the brand’s connection with its audience, particularly the younger generation.
