Toyota recently revealed their all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid SUV for our market. The new offering from Toyota rivals other C-Segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Hyryder Features Misses Over Creta

We put the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder against the segment-leader Hyundai Creta to tell you 5 features that are missing in the Hyryder but present in the Creta.

1. Diesel And Turbo Petrol Engines

The Hyundai Creta comes with turbo diesel and turbo petrol engine options, along with manual and automatic transmission options. Meanwhile, Toyota offer the Hyryder with mild- and strong-hybrid petrol powertrains tht promise to deliver segment-leading fuel efficiency. However, their performance figures are below par for the segment. For instance, the 1.4L turbo petrol in the Creta produces 140PS of power whiile the Hyryder 1.5L hybrid petrol engine only produces 115PS.

2. Power-Adjustable Driver’s Seat

The Hyundai Creta comes with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder, on the other hand, comes with a manually adjustable driver seat and it also lacks adjustment for underthigh support.

3. Rear Sun Shades

The Creta comes with factory-fitted window sunshades for rear passengers. These help in cutting harsh sunlight and also keep the cabin temperature cool.

4. Rear Headrest Cushions

The Hyundai Creta comes with headrest cushions for rear passengers. These cushions offer supreme comfort and come in handy for taking short naps on long journeys. In addition to that, these can also be removed when not in use. The Hyryder does away with conventional headrests.
